We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Year 11 students, who have received excellent GCSE results today. Alderbrook School is incredibly proud of the determination, resilience, and effort that our students have shown throughout their studies. These results are a true reflection of their dedication and the unwavering support and commitment from our staff.
This year, outcomes for both GCSEs and vocational qualifications have remained strong. An impressive 29% of all grades awarded were at 9–7, with 69% at 9–5, and 82% at 9–4. Many of our students have attained top grades across a wide variety of subjects, while others have shown remarkable personal growth and progress during their time at Alderbrook.
The success seen today highlights the courage, ambition, and adaptability that our students have consistently displayed while working towards their GCSEs. While we celebrate their collective accomplishments, we also acknowledge the individual journeys and milestones that each student has reached, both inside and outside the classroom. There are countless personal stories of achievement and perseverance – far too many to name individually – but every student should take great pride in their results.
Thanks to their success, the vast majority of our students have secured places at their chosen next steps. We are thrilled that so many will be continuing their educational journey with us at Alderbrook Sixth Form, and we look forward to supporting them over the next two years. Others will be moving on to new and exciting opportunities at local schools, colleges, and in the world of work – and we wish them all the best as they take those next steps.
Alderbrook’s Headteacher, Tom Beveridge, shared his thoughts on this year’s results:
“These results are a reflection not only of academic achievement, but of personal growth and resilience. I am immensely proud of our students for the commitment they have shown and the progress they have made. They have navigated their GCSE years with strength and maturity, and it’s been a privilege to see them develop into such capable, thoughtful young people. Whatever path they choose next, I know they will go forward with the skills and confidence to thrive.”
