Alderbrook School is delighted to report outstanding A-Level results this summer and we would like to congratulate all of our students.
We are incredibly proud of the remarkable achievements our students have accomplished this year in their A-Level, Applied General and EPQ qualifications. 37% of all A-Level grades at Alderbrook this year are A/A* and 65% of all grades are A*-B. Our students are now deservedly going onto a range of fantastic destinations in higher education, training and employment and we wish them all the very best in their future endeavours.
Those heading to university this September will be attending institutions across the UK, with a large number continuing to achieve places at Russell Group universities, including: Cambridge, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff, Exeter, UCL, Liverpool, Nottingham and Warwick. Reflecting the academic interests and talents of this year group, students will study a wide range of courses from Mathematics, to Veterinary Science, Law, Mechanical Engineering and Cultural Media Studies. We wish them all great success.
Our congratulations to the 22 students who all achieved a flush of A/A* grades across at least 3 A-Level subjects. Special acknowledgement also goes to a number of students who all made significant progress from their KS4 starting point. Honourable mentions go to Logan, Lily & Abbie who achieved 3 A* grades. Logan is now looking forward to joining The University of Warwick to study Mechanical Engineering and Lily is excited to be joining The University of Birmingham to study Digital Media and Communication. Abbie will become our first student to go onto university and study Veterinary Science at The University of Nottingham; a very impressive achievement. We are also immensely proud of Eugene, George, Dijar, Anay & Alastair who achieved an impressive 2A*s and 1 A grade. They will also now go on to be very successful at their first-choice university.
Alderbrook’s Headteacher, Tom Beveridge, said: “We are incredibly proud of our students for achieving another year of consistently strong A Level results, which reflect their hard work, resilience, and commitment to excellence. These outcomes are a testament not only to their academic ambition but to the bravery they have shown throughout their time at Alderbrook. I would like to thank all the staff and students for the support, empathy and kindness that they had demonstrated towards one another, and I would like to wish the students the very best of luck on their next steps, whatever they may be.”
Frankie Bryan, Director of Sixth Form, said: “We are so proud that this cohort’s determination and spirit have truly shone through. We have witnessed remarkable perseverance and growth as these young people have navigated their studies with Ambition, Bravery and Kindness. They are clear evidence of what can be achieved when you live by these core values. We are not only proud of them for achieving excellent results but also for developing into thoughtful, resilient individuals ready to embrace their future pathways. We also want to extend thanks to our parents and carers, whose unwavering support has been invaluable throughout this journey. I would also like to thank the staff here at Alderbrook, who have worked tirelessly to support students this academic year. We hope everyone enjoys a well-deserved celebration on results day.”
