GCSE Results Day 2026 – Alderbrook students celebrate success
Alderbrook School is proud to celebrate the achievements of its Year 11 students as they receive their GCSE results today. These outcomes reflect the hard work, commitment and determination shown by students throughout their time at school, supported every step of the way by dedicated staff and families.
This year’s results demonstrate continued strong performance across both GCSE and vocational qualifications. An impressive 27% of all grades awarded were at 9-7, with 68% at 9-5 and 82% at 9-4. 80% of students achieved at least a Grade 4 in both English and Maths. Alongside outstanding academic success, many students have made significant progress and overcome personal challenges to achieve results of which they can be immensely proud.
Today is an opportunity to recognise not only the grades achieved, but also the determination, resilience and character demonstrated by the Year 11 cohort throughout their secondary education. Every student’s journey has been unique, and these results represent years of effort, perseverance and ambition. Whether achieving the very highest grades or reaching important personal goals, students have much to celebrate.
The vast majority of students have secured places on their preferred post-16 pathways. We are delighted that many will continue their studies at Alderbrook Sixth Form, while others will embark on exciting opportunities at colleges, training providers and workplaces across the region. We wish every member of the cohort continued success as they begin the next stage of their education and careers.
