Congratulations to our Year 11s who have achieved fantastic GCSE results this year; we are extremely proud of them.
Many students have achieved the very top grades in a range of subjects, whilst others have made incredible progress at Alderbrook. The success of the students has ensured that the huge majority of them have gained a place at their destinations of choice. A large number have enrolled into Alderbrook Sixth Form and we are delighted that they will remain a part of our school community for the next two years. Some students will be leaving Alderbrook to take up exciting opportunities elsewhere at local schools, colleges and businesses.
There is so much to celebrate after such a period of disruption; pupils and staff have worked incredibly hard, and this has resulted in great success for individuals and an all-round sense of joy and achievement. Special mention goes to Nikita, Fred, Sasha, Amrita, Anna, Sanyukta, Daniel, Kara, Megan, Alex, Alex, Grace and Victoria who all achieved a large number of top grades. Manasvi, Taiyo, Ellie, Fatima, Jonathan and Jia must also be applauded for achieving phenomenal progress in their time at Alderbrook, and there are many other students who deserve a mention for their brilliant achievements.
Alderbrook’s Headteacher, Tom Beveridge, said: “Our students have done themselves, their community and our school proud. These results are a culmination of five years of hard work and they have truly lived out the school values of Ambition, Bravery and Kindness. This Year 11 cohort is a group of brilliant individual young people who will go on to do great things. Whether staying at Alderbrook or moving onto elsewhere, we wish them all the very best for the future.”
