Sixth Form Destinations Support

Welcome Year 12 students, parents and carers to our 2022 online Destinations Support page. During your time at ABK, you will, supported by the Sixth Form team and your tutors, be undertaking research and beginning to make those serious decisions about your future. We hope that you will find the information provided here of great use in informing you and guiding you on this journey. Please watch the introductory videos provided by Mrs Howard and Mrs Leawal before taking your time to navigate your way around the videos and resources provided.

We will be exploring all elements of Destinations Support in more detail within the school day, but please feel free to keep coming back here in your own time so that you can be as informed as possible about all your options. I am Mrs Claire Howard, Assistant Director of Sixth Form and Head of Year 13. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job here at Alderbrook is guiding and supporting students through the UCAS process and helping them to secure an offer at their university of choice. It can feel like an overwhelming, life-changing time and the best way to make this process exciting rather than stressful is to do your research, ask questions and use the experience of those around you. I hope that by exploring the Destinations information provided here, you begin to get some ideas, inspiration and motivation for making that next step.
