GCSE RESULTS 2024

Congratulations to our Year 11s who have achieved fantastic GCSE results. Alderbrook School is extremely proud to acknowledge the dedication and hard work shown by our students throughout their academic journey. Today’s GCSE examination results reflect the commitment of both our students and colleagues in demonstrating ambition and perseverance despite the challenges of the past years.

GCSE and vocational qualification results remained high this year. 31% of all grades were graded 9-7, with 68% of all grades at 9-5, and 80% at 9-4. Many students have achieved the very top grades in a range of subjects, whilst others have made incredible progress at Alderbrook.

Our students’ achievements in this year’s examinations stand as a testament to their ambition, bravery and adaptability as they have worked to complete their GCSEs. Whilst celebrating their collective success, we also recognise the individual growth and progress made by each of our students, both in and out of the classroom. These individual successes are too many to mention here, but they should all be very proud of themselves.

The success of the students has ensured that the huge majority of them have gained a place at their destinations of choice. A large number have enrolled into Alderbrook Sixth Form and we are delighted that they will remain a part of our school community for the next two years. Some students will be leaving Alderbrook to take up exciting opportunities elsewhere at local schools, colleges and businesses.

Alderbrook’s Headteacher, Tom Beveridge, offered his congratulations to students as they received their results today: “I want to take a moment to congratulate all of our Year 11 students on reaching this significant milestone in their academic journey, and for all that they have accomplished throughout their time at our school”. He continued by saying, “Each of our students have demonstrated the will to succeed as they have worked to complete their GCSE studies, discovering and developing unique talents, nurturing passions, and flourishing into impressive individuals along the way.”
